Pastor Weedon's insights regarding the obvious division that is caused becuase of sin, and the Christian that is right to grief this division, is something we do well to keep in mind when teaching the practice of Closed Communion. And yet, the fellowship that we experience with those of the same confession, is a glimpse of the pure fellowship that we will experience with all the faithful in eternity, when all divisions will cease to exist. What a day that will be! We grieve the divisions that exist, but give thanks be to God that any divisions have been cut down already.
